Experiential Learning and the 70:20:10
Model |
|
|
The 70:20:10 model is a strategic learning framework originally developed by theorists Michael Lombardo and Robert
Eichinger.
The model suggests a weighted ratio of the three learning types (experiential, social and formal respectively) in order to holistically support each type of learning and maximise their respective impact.
With an emphasis on experiential learning (that's the 70%), this framework recognises the myriad of learning opportunities in our everyday experience. It posits that we learn by doing and experiencing — not just reading, watching and listening.
Discover unseen opportunities for learning in everyday life and learn how to maximise your experiential learning in our latest blog article.

Imagine if we could find lessons amidst
the minutiae of everyday life? |
|
|
Learning can happen anywhere. It could be out on a hike. At your desk working. Perfecting your sourdough in the kitchen. Conversing with a friend via Zoom.
Everyday
there are countless opportunities to hone our skills, discover more about ourselves, acquire new knowledge... even in the most unlikely circumstances.
As we know, opportunities for experiential learning are innumerable however without reflection and practice these learnings are as good as forgotten!
